2020: A Year of Transformation and Healing

The year 2020, is the year that changed humanity.
The history books will look upon this episode in the earth chronicles as the year of change due to humanity’s failure. Humanity dropped the ball.

The start of 2020 had all the world’s deep pockets getting more profound, and the common man had seen a glimpse of a brighter future, and then it happened. COVID-19.

The planet sputtered, missed a stroke, or fumbled some may say, but no matter how you look at it, we were unprepared for such a significant event. Once again, greed, mismanagement, and lack of vision have cost lives and livelihoods. Surprised over this, I am not. Look in front of you, and grab three things in your sight, two of those three items are from China. If I am wrong, you buy American, bravo to you.

That is where this all started. Greed said, “We buy from China, we make a big profit.” and once that train started down the track, there was no stopping it. The medical business is no different. Save money; pandemics never happen; we don’t need to make expensive products here; it would cut profits.

Well, now it is a whole different ballgame. The planet has had time out, and it is showing in some fantastic ways.

Wildlife has relaxed to the point of inter-city travel; pollution has taken a turn for the better. Fuel prices have mellowed, and best of all, families have become family again. Yes, I realize there are numerous hardships at this moment, and I can assure you we will bounce back and change for the better.

I hope that our newfound comradery will hold, and the slower life will prevail. We can learn to exist at a slower pace; we can work from home, produce our food, re-open shuttered factories, and fill the stores with American pride.

We must take a new look at our public schools, and our medical system and become self-sufficient. We can not continue to source our critical needs from any other country than our own. It is high time that the rich give back, help rebuild the country that made their stack, and make America the leader it should be, not another client of overseas production. Pay Americans to produce, and we all win. Our new future can be bright and full of new and exciting changes.

Check on your neighbor, help with community drives, and then help the ones that need it. No more fundraising buy companies that absorb most of the funds as “Operating expenses.” Form local public communities broken down into quarters of neighborhoods. Take the greed out of the equation, it's a win.

This pause is almost at its end, breathe and plan for tomorrow.
