Living the Dream

Today marks a milestone, ten years of publishing my news magazine. Ottawas Own began as a business directory 20 years ago. Unfortunately, so did another search engine, and you know what happened next.

My news magazine came to life as a semi-local publication around 2012 and will end on December 25th, 2022. It is bittersweet that I end what has become a site of truth, not a politically motivating, mind-melting blurb on the net. I penned a few of the articles seen on OO, with the majority coming from other websites that I carefully added after researching the facts. My community television channel will also be reaching an end. With over 15k viewers on ROKU, I hate to pull the plug, but with ZERO effort from the local business community to get involved, the funding will be used for my next project.

The world is in turmoil presently, which tells me that now is the time to move on to the next big thing. My old bones lead me south, and the thought of an in-home pool has Lora raring and ready to go. The housing market is on the verge of collapse. Our financial system is getting a makeover—the powers that be gave de-pop a go; the jury's out on that one so far. We are living in a constitutional catastrophe. We watch communism sneak in the back door, but it won't work.

Yes, it is time to move on.

God bless, and stay safe.
